However, not all these
resorts are linked by piste. For example,
Altenmarkt and Zauchensee are marketed together
but it is a 10 minute bus ride between the
two. But Altenmarkt IS linked by piste to
Radstadt!
So for the purpose of
planning skiing days we find it much easier to
consider those that are linked by piste.
Doing this gives us 5 main ski areas:
- Alpendorf
and Wagrain (Grafenberg area)
- Altenmarkt
and Radstadt
- Flachau and
Wagrain (Grießkareck area)
- Flachauwinkl
(Mooskopf area) and Kleinarl
- Flachauwinkl
(Roßkopf area) and Zauchensee
In addition to these
five you have the 3 smaller individual areas of:
- Eben
- Filzmoos
- St Johann
