Our Review

There are 2 very good reasons to visit the tiny ski area of Straza near Bled.  First is the views; both day and night skiing have great views of the lake and the castle.  Secondly is the atmosphere in the evenings - we think this is partly due to the beautiful setting, but also because the slopes are predominantly occupied by Slovenians out for an evening of fun and a few pivos.

At the top of the chair is a basic bar with outside seats overlooking the lake.  Straza is also within walking distance of many parts of Bled town, so we think most of the locals leave their cars at home.  

The slopes are fairly short and easy but we would still recommend an evening skiing at Bled to skiers and boarders of all levels, just for the experience.
