Our Review

Awesome, fairytale, mountain top setting.

To see Vogel at its most amazing to early on an icy day when all the trees will look like crystal glistening in the sun and the little ski huts and bars look like something out of hanzel and grettal.  On a day like this you can see for miles over lake Bohinj and the Julian Alps.

To ski on nice slopes at Vogel do not go on an icy day.  Despite the efforts of the piste groomers it is like skiing on a gravel driveway.  On fresh snow Vogel has several lovely mostly intermediate slopes some of which lead down into a powder trap bowl.  Everyone will enjoy skiing at Vogel and its intermediate status means that most can ski/board everything there in a relaxing day or fast paced half day.

Access to the pistes are via gondola up and then drag followed by gondola to get down.  This can result in very heavy queues especially in the evening as the learners struggle with the unavoidable drag to get everyone back up to the gondola station.
